"I have a policy of not looking back
much. It just works for me. So I can’t remember what year
it was, but one summer I worked for Tom Owens doing gardening at the Old Rock Mill in Farmington, old
timers might remember it as the Old Heidelberg Restaurant. Check
his website www.rockmill.com. I enjoyed it. I was doing
thing is Salt Lake so I could take the buss to Farmington and work in
the morning and early afternoon for Tom than go on into Salt Lake for
something. Or coming back from Salt Lake I could stop and work half a day
and then go on to Clearfield. Tom also had an unused building on the premises. It had been used as an add agency, or promotion agency, or something like that. Anyway, it had a shower, although the hot water was not turned on. Tom gave me a key. It was a hot summer that year. But I could run in there when I got real hot and take a cold shower, which I often did. I also would often sleep there on hot summer nights, so I could get up and start working at the break of day to avoid the late afternoon heat. Sometime Tom would invite me up for lunch. He loved to talk about Mormon history, and also other western Americana subjects. He actually produced the last few seasons of Death Valley Days (among a lot of things, Tom seems to have dabbled in a million different things). Sometimes he’d also invite me up for a beer or two after work. Anyway he didn’t by my art until years after. Then he started buying thing once in awhile. I think now he’s saturated (he has other art, including some fairly early Remington Bronzes). But outside of one Salt Lake City attorney I think Tom has the biggest collection of Bob Moss Art. Anyway this page at least demonstrates that my art is in at least one High-class historical building. " – Bob Moss |

"Also I've included on this page the Mob moss collection of Joe Judd and Megan Crowley (his wife). I've known Joe for years. Joe got me the job with Tom. Joe and Tom have been neighbors and worked together on Farmington historical preservation projects for many years. Among many other projects, Joe is deeply involved in Hawaiian music. Check out www.thehaoleboys.com." – Bob Moss |
